What a finished display looks like

Lakes of Windermere is newer, tighter-knit and more uniform than the older Windermere communities. Houses sit closer together with similar rooflines, which changes what makes a display stand out on the street.
Clean symmetry beats volume here. With homes this close together and rooflines this consistent, the display that stands out is the one that is precisely cut and evenly spaced — not the one with the most lights on it. Custom-cut runs sit tight to the line instead of sagging between clips.
Two-story fronts are the main canvas. Most elevations here run a tall front gable over a two-story face. Lighting the upper roofline is what makes the house read from down the street, and it is a ladder question rather than a design limitation.
Tile and stucco need the right attachment. Barrel tile roofs and stucco trim are standard on these builds. Clips are chosen per surface and nothing is fastened into tile or stucco, so there is nothing to repair when it comes down.
Front-facing garages want balance. On many of these plans the garage takes up much of the front elevation. Entry columns, the front door and pathway lighting pull the eye back toward the centre of the house so the garage is not the brightest thing on the lot.
